Books

Our Art of Problem Solving textbooks have been used by top students and schools for over 13 years. Art of Problem Solving texts are designed for outstanding math students to present a broader and deeper mathematics education than the standard curriculum. Volume 1 is for students in grades 7 through 9 and beginners in grade 10, and Volume 2 is for more experienced students.

Our new Introduction series offers a comprehensive and challenging curriculum for students in grades 6-10. The series includes Introduction to Algebra, Introduction to Counting & Probability, Introduction to Geometry, and Introduction to Number Theory. These texts are used by many of the top students in the country as their middle school and early high school math curriculum, and they help students prepare for the mathematical challenges they will face in college and beyond. In addition to being an outstanding math curriculum, the Introduction level textbooks are excellent for preparation for extracurricular programs such as MATHCOUNTS and the American Mathematics Competitions.

We also offer books produced by outstanding extracurricular programs such as MOEMS (for beginners in 4th-8th grade) and MATHCOUNTS (6th-8th grade). Visit our bookstore to learn more about these books.

Many students use our books as an independent study tool. Many use our free message boards to ask questions as they study.

Throughout 2006 we will continue to release our new series of texts for young problem solvers. Click here to join our mailing list to be informed when they are released.

Our thorough Resources Guide includes other good books for math students.
